An out-of-season Emirates Bloodstock auction was held yesterday, at Qaalat Al Remaal, located on the Al Ain Road, for the sell-off of 32 quality flat-racing Arabian lots from Al Aweer Farm in Dubai. The auction offered buyers an opportunity to invest in some top-quality, primarily UAE/French bloodlines.
Bloodlines on offer included Amer, Dormane out of Manganate and Tidjani out of Flipper, with several others including Burning Sand, Warandes Pascha and Sherkhan II.
Even before the sale started, Lot number one, AF Ajwad, by Al Kesbe (Manganate/St Laurent) and dam line from Amer had drawn significant interest. Bidding was animated from the start and the 2014 grey stallion reached an impressive price of AED 75,000. The Highest price of the night went to Lot 20, AF Musa’ab, a bay stallion by Madjani (Tidjani) and dam via Amer/Burning Sand). The three-year-old saw consistent bidding and reached an impressive AED 170,000 to close the sale.
The sale offered primarily stallions, although eight mares and two geldings were also present. All 32 lots were well-behaved and were beautifully presented and handled throughout the auction.
