An electric performance by Camille Coulomb at Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Ladies CEN 120km
The 2019 Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Ladies CEN 120km was won by the French pairing of Camille Coulomb with Vista Du Barthas from Seeh Al Salam Endurance Stables. The pair saw an average speed of 28.04 kmph and an average recovery time of 4.28 across the 120 km race.
Camille’s impressive endurance career has seen her take 15 podium places over a total of 87 races, primarily between her home country of France and the UAE. Last year, she placed 15th in the same race on the South African bred Shaprisure Nicholas, also for Seeh Al Salam Endurance Stables. The 10-year-old grey gelding, Vista Du Barthas has run a total of 24 races across his career, with only one podium finish prior to winning the prestigious race.
In second place was the Spanish rider Eulalia Gonzalez Guardia from M7 Stables riding the French-bred Al Hajaj. The pair achieved an average speed of 27.49 kmph throughout the race with an average recovery time of 6.30. This is the first podium place for the 11-year-old grey gelding who had not qualified across his past three races.
Indian national, Nida Anjum Chelat riding the 11-year-old grey gelding Umour D’Aurabelle for Dubawi Stables, took third place with an average time of 26.96 kmph and average recovery time of 3.56. The race sees Nida’s first podium place over a total of 33 races.
